Happy 1st Birthday Indy!

Today Indiana officially turns 1!!! I can't believe that a year has come and gone since her birth. As of today she walks EVERYWHERE, tries to run, drinks her juice only from a sippy cup, plays peek-a-boo, sings her own version of Itsy Bitsy Spider and If Your Happy and You Know it, can say No, dada, mama, ball, baba (for bottle), bubu (for bubbles), Katie, Jake, Eddie (her elephant) bye bye, and she talks baby talk all day long. She LOVES to READ. She flips through books one page at a time and pretends to read, knows to point the remote at the T.V. (probably got that from me!) and is learning new things everyday! Happy Birthday baby girl! We love you!

Family Photos

We decided to take some family photos since the last time we did was when Indy was a newborn. We didn't get to take too many because it was too darn hot! We were sweating really bad. I think what we did take turned out okay though!

OFFICALLY WALKING!

Okay, I know I already said before that Indy was walking, but that was when she was only doing a few steps. But on Friday evening she starting taking off! She is so good at it! She likes to walk everywhere now. Before she seemed to hate walking. I am so proud of her! These pics were taken when Devin's family was here about 2 weeks ago when they were trying to get Indy to take more than just 1 or 2 steps.

Indy's 4th of July Outfit

My mom made Indy this really cute 4th of July outfit, but because we were not able to make it to NM she didn't get it till after the 4th. But I thought my mom did great and wanted to post a picture for all to see!

Walking

So, Indiana can now walk. Sort of. She'll take a few steps and then sits down. She is either too afraid or just doesn't want to. She is very controlled with her steps and doesn't wobble around or fall. She has very good balance, I just don't think she has the confidence. Hopefully she'll get the confidence she needs soon because I am tired of hauling her around everywhere! But she's worth it, so I do it!

4th of July

For the 4th of July Indiana & I were supposed to go to Deming to celebrate it with my family, but she had an ear infection and the new medicine they were trying wasn't working and she was only getting worse. So I didn't want to strap her in a carseat for 5 hours to drive for a party and then turn back around the next day and drive 5 hours back when she was sick. We instead went to UNO's for dinner with Katie & Jake (Devin's younger brother & sister) and then watched fireworks at Tempe Town Lake. It was really hot but fun! And surprisingly Indiana did good with staying up so late. She is used to going to bed around 7 and the fireworks didn't start till 9. She was a trooper!

She was scared and didn't know who she wanted to hold her, so

she kept reaching back and forth between me & Devin.

We were so sweaty because it was over 100 degrees that late at night!

She is AWESOME!!!

A couple weeks ago Indiana started standing and now she has mastered it! She can stand for long periods of time without falling. When she is done standing she slowly sits down. She is so proud of herself as you can see in a couple pictures she is clapping. Now we are just waiting for her to take her first steps!

What a difference!

The day I found out I was pregnant I pulled all of Indiana's old newborn clothes out and compared the onesie Indiana came home from the hospital in and one she wears today. I can't believe how much she has grown! I am so excited to have a tiny newborn in the house again and I can't wait!

Update on Due Date!

Okay, so the first time I went into see my OBGYN, they had calculated my due date as January 19th, 2010. But then the doctor that did my exam said my uterus seemed a little larger, so she thought I was farther along. Well, I wasn't wanting to be farther along because that would put my due date closer to Christmas and I wanted to be able to travel around Christmastime, not be stuck here in Mesa without any family. However, I just got back from my ultrasound and it turns out they pushed my due date back to the 28th of January!!! Yay!! The further away from Christmas the better! I saw the same doctor that I had seen almost everytime when I was pregnant with Indiana. She said the woman who did my first exam was only a physician's assistant and obviously was confused. My uterus is normal and I got to see and hear the baby's heartbeat! I am so excited for Indiana to be a big sister!

We'll Just Add Another Limb To Our Family Tree!

YUP!!!! Just found out today that I am expecting again!!! I am so excited! I wanted to wait till I was past the 12 week mark to announce it, but when you are excited about something you can't hold it in!!! I am just hoping and praying that all goes well and the baby is healthy. I'll let you all know my due date when I find out!!! I told Devin I was pregnant when he got home from work by making him listen to "Family Tree" by Daryll Worley. Then I took the pizza out of the oven and showed him the test that I had hidden in my back pocket. He is super excited too!!!

This is what I wake up to every morning!

I have been so blessed with such a happy and good baby! Indiana is amazing and wakes up every morning with a smile! Even after her naps she is smiling. I LOVE it! She is so much fun and is such a joy to be around. Lately her favorite song is "If Your Happy And You Know It Clap Your Hands!" Once we start to sing it she gets a huge smile on her face and starts clapping! I have a video of it and will try and post it on here if I can.

YAY for HOT weather!!!

It has been super hot here lately and so we have been going swimming almost everyday. Indiana LOVES the pool! The first few times she was scared but now she actually pushes me away because she wants to swim on her own. We'll have to put her in swimming lessons. We also got this floaty thing that she sits in and she loves that too! She kicks her legs and splashes and is so much fun!

April Mexico Trip

Me & Indy went to Mexico in the middle of April for two weeks to visit. We had so much fun! I can't wait to live down there. Below are some photos of our trip!

I know this is dangerous, but she loved sitting up on Bama's countertop playing with the blind pulley-thingys. If she was fussy and nothing worked, I would just sit her up there and she was as happy as could be!

Grandpa brought home a couple of baby chicks for the granddaughters to play with. At first Indiana wasn't so sure about them.

She ended up loving them and was so soft with them too!

Learning to Walk

Right after she learned to pull herself up Indy started walking along the couches. I went and got her one of those walking toys and she loves it! She doesn't get too far though, she gets to excited and goes a little faster than she should and ends up falling. But she is learning and doing great!
