We ended up not traveling anywhere for Christmas this year and spent it here in our own home. It was fun though. Indiana had a blast with all of her new toys! We couldn't get her to open any of her gifts, she made us do it for her. I don't know if she was afraid of the wrapping paper or what. But she had fun anyways. I am grateful for this time of year to reflect on what Christmas is truly about. We wouldn't even have this holiday if it wasn't for our Savior, Jesus Christ. One of my favorite songs this time of year is "Mary did you know?" It is such a beautiful song and when you become a mother yourself I think it makes it even more special. Well, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas too!

Scary Experience!!!
So, yesterday I had something super scary happen to me. It's been raining here in Mesa so Devin called me from work and asked me to move his truck, which is a single cab. I said sure and went out there, unlocked the door and got in. Then I made the huge mistake of closing the driver side door behind me. I put the key in the ignition and his truck wouldn't start! The battery was dead. You can't open either of the doors in Devin's truck from the inside, you have to roll the windows down and open them from the outside. But with the battery dead I couldn't even roll the windows down since they are electric! The battery was just too dead! I am very claustrophobic and started to freak out because I was stuck in Devin's truck. I kept looking around for someone to help me. I then started worrying about Indiana because she could be waking up from her nap any minute. My brother was here visiting from Las Cruces but he had just gone up to take a shower when I went out to move the truck. I started crying because I didn't know how long I was going to be stuck in there. Then I realized that his truck has one of those little sliding windows in the back that leads out to the bed of the truck. I opened it up (after quite a few tries because it was stuck) and then really doubted that I could fit my huge preggo body through that little square window. Well, I did and it was painful!!! When you are pregnant you don't have any stomach muscles to help hold your lower body up and my legs got all scraped up and then my knees are bruised from landing in the bed of the truck. I was finally free!!! When I think about it now and when I told Devin about it later I couldn't help but laugh. But at the time it was super scary!!! Sorry this is so long, I am very detailed when I tell stories. Anywhoo, that's it. I'm done.

30 Week Ultrasound!
I had my 30 week ultrasound this morning and I have GREAT news!!! He finally turned! I am so happy that Porter is finally head down. Why did my doctor have to worry me like that? I guess she was just preparing me for if he didn't turn, but he did so I am happy! They had a hard time taking pictures of him because they said I have an "on top" placenta which was covering his face and other body parts. So, below is the best picture of his face we got. The left side of his face is distorted because that is where the placenta is. His head is measuring 2 weeks & 1 day ahead and the rest of his body is measuring 5 days ahead. He weighs 3 lbs 12 oz!!! I think he is going to be one big boy!

Indy's 15 Month Stats
Okay, so I'm a little late posting this but at her 15 month checkup she was in the 93rd %ile for height and in the 50th %ile for weight. She weighs just over 22 1/2 lbs! She is such a big girl and I love watching her learn something new everyday! She is such a joy to be around and loves giving kisses. I am so grateful to have Indy in my life and I don't know what I would do without her!

Our Christmas Lists
So, for Christmas this year we are asking Santa for the following things.
Indiana wants:

(yeah, right. What he wants costs over $2000. Maybe another year.)

Jade wants:

Is that too much to ask for? Maybe. I think Indy & I will get what we want, but as for Devin he can keep on dreaming. I need help though, I have NO CLUE what to get him! When I ask him what he wants he says nothing. All he wants is that electric drum set but even he knows we can't get it. Any ideas on what to get him? I NEED HELP PLEASE!!!

Ramblings of a Pregnant Lady.
Well, just had a doctor's appointment and Porter is still breech. He's been breech at every appointment so far. I want him to turn!!! I do not want a c-section! My doc said at 36 weeks she could try turning him if I wanted, but just warned me that it is done at a hospital just in case it puts me into labor or something happens to the baby, and it is very painful. But I told her I was willing to try it. She said I would be a good canidate for it since I've already delivered one baby vaginally and there could be a good chance that Porter would stay head down after he was turned. We'll see. I also learned at my appointment this morning why I have been so tired, I'm now anemic. My doctor did say this was common for pregnant ladies in their 3rd trimester. I also have swelling in my ankles and feet and now weight as much as I did when I was 9 months pregnant with Indy. This pregnancy has just been different. Oh well, it still won't stop me from getting pregnant again in a couple of years! I am excited though because in 2 weeks I get my 3D ultrasound and I'm going to compare Porter's 3D pics to Indy's. I wonder what he is going to look like?!

Our New Home!
This is our new, well new to us, house. The pics make it look smaller than what it really is, I think. Sorry the kitchen is a mess!
I was making our costumes for halloween.

Updates
I have slacking at blogging for the past month. Sorry! Lets see, where do I begin? Oh, we are moving!!! It was a sudden decision we made in a day. Our lease at our apartment complex isn't even up till the end of February, but we (by chance) found a 2-story 3bd 2.5ba townhouse for rent. It is big and very nice!!! We fell in love with it and couldn't pass it up. We had to be quick about all the paperwork and everything though because we weren't the only ones who wanted it. So, now I am working on doing all of the packing and Devin, along with family and friends, is going to move most everything Monday. I am so excited for the move and to have all that extra room! Next update is about Indiana. She is doing great, just getting over yet another ear infection. We have scheduled for her to get tubes put in her ears on the 30th. She is learning her animal noises and knows what a bear, monkey, duck, dog, and cat say. She knows where her eyes, ears, and mouth are as well. Her favorite word to say lately is "Uh-oh!" If she hears or sees something fall she always says that. It is pretty cute. Devin is doing good, still working and going to school full-time. He has a hard time getting the motivation to go to his night class. He hates leaving Indiana & me playing at home. But hopefully he'll graduate (if all goes as planned) next December. I am 2 days away from being 25 weeks pregnant and have gained a total of 20 lbs so far!!! AHHH!!! My doctor said that is good because with Indiana I was always behind on the whole weight gaining thing. Hopefully I lose it as fast as I did after I had her. Porter is growing 2 1/2 weeks ahead of schedule and my uterus is 4 weeks ahead. So, he is going to be one big boy! Well, thats all for updates. After we move in next week I'll post pics of our new place.

Bye Bye Belly Button
When I was pregnant with Indiana I was so excited to have a big belly and for my belly button to become an outty like they do for a lot of pregnant women. Well, that didn't happen for me. Instead my belly button just stretched and dissappeared! Now it is almost gone again, and a lot sooner this time. One of these days I'll get brave and take a picture for you all to see. In the meantime, just imagine Kyle XY pregnant and that is what my belly looks like. So weird.

It's A .................................
Well, we just got back from our ultrasound and found out we are having a bouncy baby boy! We just couldn't believe it! To be honest I really thought it was a girl. My doctor is also thinking about changing my due date to January 22nd or 21st. She said the baby is either just BIG or I am further along. We'll wait and see though as the weeks go by and they keep measuring my uterus. For me, the closer to February the better, but if he is meant to come early then that is fine. We are going to name him Porter. We just haven't figured out the middle name yet. Porter _____ Jones. Any suggestions?

I'm So Excited! And I Just Can't Hide It!
We have an exciting week ahead of us. Friday we find out what we are having, my older brother will be in town Monday and we are getting together for dinner, and then we are leaving early next Thursday morning for San Diego!!! I am so excited to get away! I already booked the hotel and bought our tickets to Sea World. I hope Indiana has as much fun as me! We are also planning on hitting the beach and just relaxing. The weather there lately has been high 70's, low 80's, so we are really excited to get away from this heat! Shamu, here I come!

Take my Poll!
Underneath the ticker that shows how far along I am is a poll. I want to know what you all think I am having! Just so you know I have very strong male genes on my side of the family. Indiana is the only grandchild on my side, but on Devin's side there are ONLY granddaughters. So, will it be another girl or will we finally add a boy to all those granddaughters? My appointment is next Friday at 9:30 in the morning, and that is when the poll closes!

Can't Sleep
I just can't seem to be tired tonight. About an hour and a half ago (9pm AZ time) someone actually tried to break into our apartment!!! I was in the living room watching tv when this happened. A guy jumped into our balcony and tried to open the window that goes into our living room. The blinds were opened just a bit so all I saw was a sillouette. I ran and woke Devin up and he got his gun but the guy was already gone. Sometimes I hate living on the bottom floor of an apartment complex. Sure, it is so much easier not having to worry about the stairs when you have a little one and when you are pregnant, but then I worry about our safety. So, now I can't sleep! I have been watching tv and surfing the internet for over an hour trying to tire myself out and it isn't working.

16 Weeks
This pregnancy is a lot different from my first one. For starters, I have already gained about 15 lbs!!! I also started showing really early and was a bit nauseous at the beginning. When I was pregnant with Indiana I never was sick and gained only 26 lbs my entire pregnancy. Oh well, I am loving my belly and have an appointment tomorrow. Then I will schedule my ultrasound so we can find out if we are having another girl or finally adding a boy to the family!
